The last time I updated "The Thumb Diary" was nearly six months ago, and I've decided that it has outlived its usefulness as the place to reflect and speak my mind.
The fact is that my life so far has been bisected by the loss of my best friend. I cannot tell you how I am different, or what characteristics of my life feel so new. All I know is that that the line of March 1, 2011 is drawn cleanly across all aspects of my life.
Despite my reluctance at first to accept it, most of my life will likely take place in a world without Ryan. This new life in a new home has brought an evolving perspective on the things that matter most.
This space will serve as my echo chamber my observations and experiences here on the other side of the line.
